The Corner
M. Des Final Project- The Corner
The Corner is an animated installation inspired by the intersection of Herzl and Salame streets in Tel Aviv. Through animation and sound, it captures the rhythm of the city — moments of movement, encounters, and quiet tension that define urban life. The work explores how invisible forces and small gestures shape our presence in public space, revealing the fine balance between renewal and decay. Born from my deep affection for the urban environment, The Corner translates the city’s constant transformation into a poetic visual language.Made as part of my master's degree in Visual Communication at Bezalel Jerusalem, 2022.
Compositing: Aviv Ziv
Sound: Yuval Shahar
***recommended to turn on sound.

We can never explain or justify the city. The city exists. It is our environment and we have no other. We were born in cities. We grew up in cities. In cities, we breathe. When we ride the train, we travel from one city to another. There is nothing inhuman about it — perhaps only our very humanity.
— Georges Perec, Species of Spaces
